Misaki Maguro Kippu 2026: is it worth it? (calculator)

Short answer: from 1 September 2026 the Misaki Maguro Kippu costs ¥5,000 per adult from Shinagawa as a paper ticket (¥4,250 before), or ¥3,850–¥5,000 as a digital ticket, depending on the day. The train round trip alone is ¥1,480, so the kippu pays off only if your tuna lunch, the bus and the souvenir ticket are worth more than ¥3,520 to you (paper) or ¥2,620 (digital, weekday). What the kippu includes

Six steps: 1 buy the kippu (paper at a Keikyu station on the day, digital on newcal up to 14 days ahead); 2 Keikyu train to Misakiguchi, stopovers allowed, no going back; 3 Keikyu Bus to Misaki Port, board by the middle door and show the ticket when you get off; 4 tuna lunch with the meal ticket at one restaurant, once per person, no line priority; 5 souvenir or facility ticket at one shop; 6 bus and train home.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Misaki Maguro Kippu in 2026?

From 1 September 2026 the paper ticket costs ¥5,000 per adult from Shinagawa, ¥4,850 from Yokohama and ¥4,670 from Kamiooka. A child (6–11) pays ¥3,450 from any of these stations. The digital ticket from Shinagawa costs ¥3,850, ¥4,100, ¥4,500 or ¥5,000 depending on the day.

Is the Misaki Maguro Kippu worth it?

Only if you use all of it. The train round trip from Shinagawa costs ¥1,480 with an IC card, so the paper kippu asks ¥3,520 for the bus, the tuna meal and the souvenir ticket. With the digital ticket on a weekday the gap is ¥2,620. If you plan a tuna set meal at Misaki Port and take the bus both ways, compare the menu price with that gap in the calculator above.

Is the digital ticket cheaper than the paper ticket?

From Shinagawa, yes, on most days: the paper ticket is ¥5,000 every day, while the digital ticket is ¥3,850 in December and January, ¥4,100 on other weekdays and ¥4,500 on other weekends and holidays. On peak days (tier D) both cost ¥5,000. Digital tickets are sold on Keikyu's newcal site from 14 days before the day of use.

Where can I buy the Misaki Maguro Kippu?

Paper tickets at Keikyu stations, digital tickets on newcal. Keikyu's English page also names Klook, KKday and asoview as sellers. It is not sold on the day of the Miura International Citizen Marathon in March.

Is the kippu worth it for children?

Usually less so. A child pays ¥3,450, but the child IC fare on Keikyu is a flat ¥75 per ride, so the train is only ¥150 round trip. The rest of the price is the meal, bus and souvenir.

Does the meal ticket let me skip the line?

No. Keikyu says the ticket gives no priority at busy restaurants, except the paid Manpuku Ticket PLUS options. Buses can also run late on weekends and holidays because of traffic.
