Yokohama Marine Tower Tickets: Price, Night Ticket, Hours (and the Landmark Sky Garden Closure) (2026)
Short answer: an adult ticket to the Yokohama Marine Tower observation floors costs ¥1,000 on weekdays and ¥1,200 on weekends and holidays by day (10:00–18:00, last entry 17:30), and ¥1,200 / ¥1,400 at night (18:00–22:00, last entry 21:30). Buy online and each ticket is ¥100 less. Elementary and junior high students pay ¥500–¥800, and children under school age are free. No reservation is needed. Looking for the Landmark Tower Sky Garden instead? It is closed for building repairs, and the owner plans to reopen it in 2028 or later, so the Marine Tower is the observation deck you can actually go up in Yokohama now. Prices and dates from the official Marine Tower and Landmark Tower pages, checked 2026-10-11.
Ticket prices
| Ticket | Weekday | Weekend / holiday | Online, weekday | Online, weekend |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Day, adult (high school and over) | ¥1,000 | ¥1,200 | ¥900 | ¥1,100 |
| Day, child (elementary and junior high) | ¥500 | ¥600 | ¥400 | ¥500 |
| Night, adult | ¥1,200 | ¥1,400 | ¥1,100 | ¥1,300 |
| Night, child | ¥700 | ¥800 | ¥600 | ¥700 |
- Under school age: free, day and night.
- "Adult" means high school age and over, so a 16-year-old pays the adult price.
- Prices include tax. The tower says prices can be different on special dates (Golden Week, the Obon holidays) and on event nights such as fireworks, and that night prices change with the night programme. The prices above are the ones it lists now.
- Senior and birthday discounts are no longer offered since the 2022 renewal. The only regular discount is buying online.
The 1-day pass
The 1-day pass ("1日フリーパス") lets you go in and out as often as you like for one day, day and night. A normal day or night ticket does not allow re-entry.
| 1-day pass | Adult | Child | Online, adult | Online, child |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ticket only | ¥1,500 | ¥900 | ¥1,400 | ¥800 |
| Ticket + "Yokohama 360°" audio guide | ¥2,300 | ¥1,700 | ¥2,100 | ¥1,500 |
Online tickets are valid for one year from the date you buy them, and cannot be refunded.
Which ticket should you buy?
- One visit, daytime, weekday: the day ticket, ¥1,000 (¥900 online). Cheapest way up.
- One visit after dark: the night ticket, ¥1,200 on weekdays, ¥1,400 on weekends (¥100 less online).
- Up by day and again at night: the 1-day pass. Separate day and night tickets would cost ¥2,200 on a weekday or ¥2,600 on a weekend at the counter, against ¥1,500 for the pass. You save ¥700 on a weekday and ¥1,100 on a weekend.
- Weekend night only? The pass (¥1,500) costs just ¥100 more than a weekend night ticket at the counter (¥1,400). If there is any chance you want to come back, or go up before dinner and again after, take the pass. Online, compare ¥1,300 (night) with ¥1,400 (pass).
What a family pays
| 2 adults + 2 children (elementary or junior high) | At the counter | Online |
|---|---|---|
| Day, weekday | ¥3,000 | ¥2,600 |
| Day, weekend | ¥3,600 | ¥3,200 |
| Night, weekday | ¥3,800 | ¥3,400 |
| Night, weekend | ¥4,400 | ¥4,000 |
| 1-day pass, any day | ¥4,800 | ¥4,400 |
Children under school age are free, so a family with toddlers pays only for the adults and any school-age children.
Hours, last entry and closing days
| Ticket | Hours | Last entry | June to August |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day | 10:00–18:00 | 17:30 | 10:00–18:55, last entry 18:30 |
| Night | 18:00–22:00 | 21:30 | opens at 19:00 |
The tower is open every day of the year except monthly maintenance days, and it can close in strong wind. The observation floors and the shops are closed on these Mondays:
- 2026: 19 October, 16 November, 7 December
- 2027: 18 January, 8 February, 8 March, 5 April, 14 June, 26 July, 13 September, 18 October, 15 November, 13 December
The Eggs 'n Things and Menehune shops on the ground floor stay open on 19 October 2026 (enter from the terrace on the Yamashita Park side).
Two notices for autumn 2026:
- One of the two observation elevators is stopped for repairs "for the time being" (notice of 10 October 2026). On weekends, entry may be limited and you may wait longer. There are no stairs to the deck for visitors, so go on a weekday if you can.
- 21 November 2026 is a fireworks night at Yamashita Pier. Tickets for that date are not on sale until 20 October 2026, 10:00, so don't plan a casual visit that evening.
Buying tickets and paying
- No reservation needed. Walk in and buy at the ticket counter on the first floor.
- At the counter the tower accepts cash, credit cards, QR-code payments and e-money (IC cards).
- Online: the tower's own ticket site (link below in the sources) has English, and saves ¥100 per ticket. It has no refunds, so check the closing days first.
- Japanese disability certificate holders: day ¥500 (child ¥300), night ¥700 (child ¥500), and one companion pays the same price. Show the certificate at the first-floor counter.
- Groups of 20 or more: 10% off; 50 or more: 20% off (book ahead).

Is the Landmark Tower Sky Garden open?
No. The Sky Garden, the observation floor on the 69th floor of the Yokohama Landmark Tower, is closed while the building goes through large-scale repairs. The Landmark Tower's official page says it plans to reopen in 2028 or later, with details to come on the Sky Garden website. Tickets you see sold for it now may be old listings: check before you pay.
What to do instead, per adult:
| View | Price | Hours | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marine Tower (29th–30th floors) | ¥1,000–¥1,400 | 10:00–22:00 | the observation deck you can go up now, above Yamashita Park |
| Osanbashi Pier rooftop | free | open 24 hours | a public rooftop park on the passenger pier, no ticket |
| Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel | ¥1,000 (all ages) | Cosmo World hours | about 15 minutes in a gondola in Minato Mirai |
| Yokohama Air Cabin | ¥1,000 one way | usually to 21:00 or 22:00 | a ropeway up to about 40 m over the water |
The Air Cabin and the Ferris wheel have a set ticket that saves ¥300: see the Yokohama Air Cabin tickets guide.
How to get there
- Station: Motomachi-Chukagai on the Minatomirai Line, the last stop. Tokyu Toyoko Line trains from Shibuya run straight through to it.
- From Tokyo Station: JR Tokaido Line to Yokohama, then the Minatomirai Line. From Shinagawa: Keikyu Line to Yokohama, then the Minatomirai Line.
- Address: 14-1 Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, on the street beside Yamashita Park (the park is 3 minutes from Motomachi-Chukagai Station).
- No parking at the tower. Use public car parks; there is no parking discount.
The tower sits at the Chinatown end of the waterfront, so it fits best at the end of a Yokohama day: dinner in Chinatown, then the night ticket. See the full route in our Yokohama day trip itinerary, and compare train tickets from Tokyo (including the Minatomirai Line 1-day ticket) in the Yokohama day trip cost calculator. With children, see the Yokohama family train cost guide.
Good to know
- No food or drink on the observation floors. Restaurants and a café are on the 1st and 4th floors.
- Tripods are allowed if you don't get in other people's way.
- Baby room on the 2nd floor (nappy changing and nursing). An accessible toilet is on the 1st floor. The tower does not lend wheelchairs.
- Assistance dogs may go up to the deck.
- The tower warns that the view can be poor in some weather. Check the sky before you pay.
