Kamakura and Enoshima Day Trip from Tokyo: Cost and Which Pass to Buy (2026)

Updated 2026-10-08

Short answer: from Shinjuku, the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass costs ¥1,640 per adult and covers your Odakyu round trip plus unlimited Enoden rides for the day. If you are already in Fujisawa, the rule is simple: 4 or more Enoden rides → buy a pass; 3 or fewer → single tickets are cheaper. Fares from the official Enoden and Odakyu pages, checked 2026-10-08.

Test your own route with the Enoshima & Kamakura calculator. Temple entrance fees (Great Buddha, Hasedera, Hokokuji and more) are in the Kamakura temple fees calculator. On the island itself, the escar, Sea Candle, Iwaya Caves and aquarium prices are in the Enoshima island tickets calculator.

Enoden single fares you will actually use

Ride Adult fare
Fujisawa → Enoshima ¥220
Enoshima → Hase (Great Buddha) ¥260
Enoshima → Kamakura ¥260
Hase → Kamakura ¥200
Fujisawa → Hase ¥310
Fujisawa → Kamakura ¥310

Two typical routes, worked out

Bar chart: Route A with 4 Enoden rides costs 990 yen in single tickets, 800 yen with Noriorikun and 810 yen with the Freepass from Fujisawa. Route B with 3 rides costs 680 yen in single tickets, so a pass costs 120 to 130 yen more.
Four rides or more: a pass wins. Three rides: single tickets win.

Route A: the full loop, back to Fujisawa (4 rides)

Fujisawa → Enoshima → Hase → Kamakura → Fujisawa

Ticket Adult cost
Single tickets: ¥220 + ¥260 + ¥200 + ¥310 ¥990
Noriorikun ¥800 (saves ¥190)
Freepass from Fujisawa ¥810 (saves ¥180, and also covers Odakyu to Katase-Enoshima)

For ¥10 more than Noriorikun, the Freepass also lets you use the Odakyu line to Katase-Enoshima, the station closest to Enoshima Island. If you want that option, the Freepass is the better buy.

Route B: one way, ending in Kamakura (3 rides)

Fujisawa → Enoshima → Hase → Kamakura, then leave Kamakura by another line

Ticket Adult cost
Single tickets: ¥220 + ¥260 + ¥200 ¥680 (cheapest)
Noriorikun ¥800
Freepass from Fujisawa ¥810

With only 3 rides, a pass costs you ¥120–¥130 more. If you get off and on more often (for example, an extra stop on the way), each extra ride adds another fare and the pass can win again. Add every ride in the calculator to see.
