Sarushima Island ferry and tickets 2026: price by date, timetable and cost from Tokyo (calculator)
Short answer: a day on Sarushima, the uninhabited fortress island off Yokosuka, costs an adult visitor ¥2,100–¥2,500 for the ferry round trip plus park admission. The price depends on the fare day: C days (weekdays) ¥2,100, B days (most weekends) ¥2,300, A days (peak days) ¥2,500. The ferry takes about 10 minutes from Mikasa Terminal, a 15-minute walk from Keikyu Yokosuka-chuo Station. You cannot reserve a boat: buy your ticket at the terminal and queue. Add the Keikyu train (¥620 each way from Shinagawa) and the whole day is about ¥3,340 per adult on a weekday. Prices and calendar from the official Sarushima and Keikyu pages, checked 2026-10-11.

How long to spend on the island
- A slow walk around the island takes about 60 minutes; the operator suggests 90-120 minutes if you want to look closely at the fortress ruins.
- So a typical visit is the boat over, 1.5–2 hours on the island, and the boat back: about half a day from Yokosuka-chuo.
- The whole island is a national historic site: brick tunnels and gun batteries from the Edo and Meiji periods, in the forest.
