Yokosuka Naval Port Tour 2026: price, booking and day trip cost from Tokyo (calculator)
Short answer: the YOKOSUKA Naval Port Tour (YOKOSUKA Gunko Meguri) is a 45-minute harbour cruise past US Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ships. An adult ticket costs ¥2,000, ¥2,200 or ¥2,500 depending on the fare day (C, B or A); elementary school children pay half; under school age ride free (1 per adult). Boats leave hourly from Shioiri Terminal, 5 minutes' walk from Keikyu Shioiri Station. Book ahead for weekends: online booking is open for dates up to 31 Dec 2026. The guide speaks Japanese only. From Shinagawa, train + cruise + Battleship Mikasa is ¥4,040–¥4,540 per adult. Keikyu's Yokosuka Mankitsu Kippu only pays off if your lunch costs more than ¥1,210 (C day). Prices from the official cruise, Mikasa and Keikyu pages, checked 2026-10-12.
Your Yokosuka day
Teenagers: junior high students pay the adult cruise fare but only ¥200 at Mikasa (high school ¥700); the calculator uses the general ¥800 for all adults. The fare day (A, B or C) for your date is shown in the official booking calendar; the cruise site does not publish a list. If you are not sure, compare C and A: the gap is ¥500 per adult.

Departure times and how long it takes
| Departures | Cruise | Leaves from |
|---|---|---|
| 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 | about 45 minutes | Shioiri Terminal (2F, COASKA Bayside Stores) |
- 11:00 to 15:00 run every day except maintenance days. 10:00 and 16:00 run only on some days (the English page says 10:00 is for weekends and holidays). Check the booking calendar.
- Be at Shioiri Terminal at least 15 minutes before departure.
- Terminal hours: 10:00-19:00 (9:00-19:00 on weekends, holidays and days with a 10:00 sailing).
- The cruise runs in rain. In strong wind the upper deck may close, and boats can be cancelled. The status is posted on the official site around 9:00.
- Which ships you see changes every day. The operator does not publish ship arrivals and departures, and the route can change without notice.
Booking and same-day tickets
- Online booking (Japanese) or by phone at 046-825-7144. Right now you can book dates up to 31 Dec 2026. You pay on the day at the counter, giving your name or booking number.
- Same-day tickets go on sale at Shioiri Terminal at 10:00 (9:00 on weekends and holidays). On fine days there are usually about 50–100. In strong wind there may be none. The site shows the same-day status from 9:00.
- About 150 of the 230 places on a fine day can be booked ahead (160 places on a rainy day). Weekends and holidays sell out, so book.
- Cancellation: no fee for individuals. Call 046-825-7144, ideally 2 days ahead.
- Seats are not reserved. You board in the order you queue: 126 indoor seats and 48 on the upper deck, so on a full boat some people stand.
Good to know on board
- The guide speaks Japanese only. There is no English commentary, so the view is the main thing for non-Japanese speakers.
- Photos are allowed (tripods too, if you keep the aisle clear).
- You can eat and drink on board, but nothing is sold on the boat. No umbrellas on board.
- No pets, even in a carrier. Strollers can go on board; there is stroller storage at the terminal.
- Gift idea: the YOKOSUKA Cruise Premium Ticket, sold at the counter, is 10% off the weekday fare and valid for 1 year.
Battleship Mikasa
The battleship Mikasa, preserved as a memorial ship in Mikasa Park, is the usual second stop. Take the Mikasa loop bus (三笠循環) from the Shioiri bus stop to "Mikasa Koen", or walk about 15 minutes from Yokosuka-chuo Station.
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| General | ¥800 |
| Seniors, high school students and other discounts | ¥700 |
| Elementary and junior high school students | ¥200 |
| Under school age | free |
- The official page does not give the senior age. Bring ID or a student card to ask for the discount.
- Hours: 9:00-17:30 (April–September), 9:00-17:00 (March and October), 9:00-16:30 (November–February). Last entry 30 minutes before closing. Closed 28-31 December.
- Groups of 20 or more pay ¥700 for general tickets. Children in grade 3 or younger must come with a guardian.
Is the Yokosuka Mankitsu Kippu worth it?
Keikyu's Yokosuka Mankitsu Kippu includes: Keikyu round trip to the free area, unlimited Keikyu trains between Oppama, Horinouchi, Uraga and Tsukuihama, Keikyu Bus in the free area, 1 meal ticket (one dish from the member restaurants) and 1 activity ticket (one choice from the member places; Battleship Mikasa entry is one of them). Show it at Shioiri Terminal and the cruise costs ¥1,800 (child ¥900) on any fare day, according to Keikyu's guide (as of April 2026).
| From | Digital | Paper | Child | Single tickets, round trip (adult, IC) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shinagawa | ¥3,450 | ¥3,650 | ¥2,500 | ¥1,240 |
| Keikyu Kamata (for Haneda) | ¥3,450 | ¥3,650 | ¥2,500 | ¥1,132 |
| Keikyu Kawasaki | ¥3,450 | ¥3,650 | ¥2,500 | ¥1,020 |
| Yokohama | ¥3,390 | ¥3,590 | ¥2,500 | ¥806 |
| Kamiooka | ¥3,220 | ¥3,420 | ¥2,500 | ¥626 |
Per adult from Shinagawa with Mikasa as the activity: Mankitsu ¥5,250 (ticket ¥3,450 + cruise ¥1,800) vs single tickets ¥4,040 (C day), ¥4,240 (B day) or ¥4,540 (A day). So the ticket only wins if the meal it includes replaces a lunch that would cost you more than ¥1,210 (C day), ¥1,010 (B day) or ¥710 (A day). From Yokohama the gap is bigger (¥1,584 on a C day), because the train is cheaper.
- For children it does not pay: the child ticket is ¥2,500, but a child's train fare with an IC card is ¥75 each way, the cruise ¥1,000–¥1,250 and Mikasa ¥200.
- Digital tickets are sold on the newcal site up to 14 days ahead; paper tickets only on the day at Keikyu stations (not Sengakuji). Not valid at year-end and New Year and on some days Keikyu names. Refund fee ¥220.
- The same ticket also gives a lower Sarushima ferry fare (adult ¥1,440 round trip, plus park admission). See the Sarushima Island calculator.
- Keikyu's guide is from April 2026 and lists older Mikasa prices, so ask at the counter if a perk price differs.
