Yokohama Bay Cruise Prices 2026: ¥2,000 Harbour Loop, ¥3,000 Night Cruise, Marine Rouge Dinner From ¥11,800
A cruise on Yokohama harbour costs anywhere from ¥2,000 to ¥21,300 a head, and the spread comes down to one question: do you want the boat, or dinner on the boat? The boat alone is cheap. The Sea Bass harbour loop is ¥2,000 for 40 minutes, the Minatomirai night cruise ¥3,000 for an hour of lights, and even the French restaurant ship Marine Rouge lets you on for ¥2,400 at 14:30 if you skip the food. Eat on board and the twilight sailing is ¥9,800, the 19:30 dinner ¥11,800 to ¥21,300. Every price here is the operator's own, read on 2026-10-19; it runs all of these boats, so there is one booking centre and one set of rules.
Every cruise, with its price and pier
The four boat-only cruises are run with the Sea Bass fleet, each from its own pier:
| Cruise | Departs | Pier | Adult / child |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sea Bass harbour loop (みなと周遊クルーズ), 40 min | 13:30, 14:30, 15:45, weekdays only | Yamashita Park | ¥2,000 / ¥1,500 |
| Minatomirai night cruise, 60 min | 19:30, Fri, Sat, Sun and holidays | Yokohama Station East Exit | ¥3,000 / ¥2,000 |
| Factory night cruise (Night Safari), 90 min | 19:00 Tue–Sun and holidays; also 17:10 on weekends Oct–Feb | Hammerhead | ¥4,500 / ¥3,000 |
| Night Flowers fireworks cruise, 60 min | 18:45 on fireworks nights | Pier Akarenga | ¥5,000 / ¥3,000 |
Marine Rouge, the restaurant ship, sails four times a day from Pier Akarenga. You can board any sailing without eating, or book a course:
| Sailing | Departs | Length | Adult | Child |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Afternoon, boarding only | 14:30 | 60 min | ¥2,400 | ¥1,200 |
| Lunch, twilight or dinner sailing, boarding only | 12:00 / 17:00 / 19:30 | 90–120 min | ¥3,000 | ¥1,500 |
| Afternoon tea | 14:30 | 60 min | ¥7,000 (¥7,500 weekends) | no child price |
| Twilight with dinner | 17:00 | 90 min | ¥9,800 | ¥7,000 |
| Lunch course | 12:00 | 90 min | ¥8,200 or ¥11,500 (¥500 more on weekends) | ¥5,000 (¥5,500) |
| Dinner course | 19:30 | 120 min | ¥11,800 / ¥15,800 / ¥20,800 (¥500 more on weekends) | ¥7,000 (¥7,500) |
Child means ages 3 to elementary school on the Sea Bass cruises and elementary school on Marine Rouge. On Marine Rouge a child below school age boards free, one per paying adult, as long as you say so when you book; a meal for that child is charged at the child price. On the Sea Bass regular boats under-3s ride free, one per adult, and the operator says to check each cruise page for the planned sailings. The lunch and dinner prices are the November menus; the kitchen changes them monthly and the two dinner figures were the same in September and October.
Which one to take
- One cruise, daytime, under ¥2,500: the Sea Bass harbour loop at ¥2,000, if you are in Yokohama on a weekday. It leaves Yamashita Park, passes Osanbashi, goes out to the Bay Bridge and the red lighthouse on the north breakwater, and comes back past Minatomirai and Hammerhead with a commentary on board.
- Weekend, daytime: the loop does not run, so take the ¥2,400 Marine Rouge 14:30 sailing without a meal. You get an hour on the restaurant ship's deck for the price of a water bus, and tickets are sold at the Pier Akarenga counter from 14:00. The catch, in the operator's own words: the ship is all restaurant seating, so space for boarding-only guests is limited.
- Night lights, cheapest: the ¥3,000 Minatomirai night cruise, Friday to Sunday from the Yokohama Station pier. Red Brick, the Marine Tower and the Cosmo Clock from the water, an hour, back by 20:30.
- Something you cannot see on foot: the ¥4,500 factory night cruise into the Keihin industrial zone. Nothing on the Minatomirai waterfront looks like this; the boat goes past Kawasaki's lit-up pipes and chimneys and takes 90 minutes.
- A meal with the view: the ¥9,800 twilight sailing is the one I would pay for. It is the only Marine Rouge course with the same price every day of the week, it leaves at 17:00 so you see the harbour in daylight, at dusk and lit up, and it is back at 18:30 in time for a train home. The 19:30 dinner costs ¥2,000 more for the cheapest course and gets you back at 21:30.
My reading of the price list: the restaurant ship is where the operator makes its money, which is why the dinner courses carry a ¥500 weekend surcharge and the boat-only fares do not. If what you want is the water, the four plain cruises between ¥2,000 and ¥4,500 are the honest buy, and the Air Cabin ropeway at ¥1,000 is the cheapest way of all to look down on the same harbour: see Yokohama Air Cabin tickets.
| Group | Cruise | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 adult | Sea Bass harbour loop | ¥2,000 |
| 2 adults | Minatomirai night cruise | ¥6,000 |
| 2 adults + 1 child of 8 | Factory night cruise | ¥12,000 (¥4,500 × 2 + ¥3,000) |
| 2 adults + 1 child of 4 | Marine Rouge 14:30, no meal | ¥4,800 (the 4-year-old boards free) |
| 2 adults | Twilight cruise with dinner, any day | ¥19,600 |
| 2 adults + 1 child of 8 | Dinner cruise, Jack course, Saturday | ¥32,100 (¥12,300 × 2 + ¥7,500) |
The four piers and how to find them
- Pier Akarenga (Marine Rouge, Night Flowers): on the sea side of Red Brick Warehouse building 1, 1-1-1 Shinko. The operator gives about 10 minutes on foot from Bashamichi or Nihon-odori on the Minatomirai Line and 20 minutes from JR Sakuragicho. Marine Rouge check-in opens 30 minutes before sailing and closes 15 minutes before; the ship leaves on time, so the operator asks you to be there 30 to 40 minutes early.
- Yamashita Park (harbour loop): the SEABASS station on the park's waterfront, 5 minutes from exit 4 of Motomachi-Chukagai Station. The Marine Tower is across the road.
- Yokohama Station East Exit (night cruise): 2nd floor of the Yokohama Bay Quarter mall, 5 minutes from the JR Kita-Higashi Exit.
- Hammerhead (factory cruise): in front of the Hammerhead building on Shinko Pier, 10 minutes from Bashamichi exit 6.
The regular Sea Bass water bus calls at all four piers, so you can arrive by boat for ¥1,000 to ¥1,500: fares and the boats that skip a pier are in Yokohama Sea Bass ferry. From Tokyo, the Tokyu Toyoko Line from Shibuya runs straight through to Bashamichi and Motomachi-Chukagai; fares from each Tokyo station are in Tokyo to Yokohama by train.
Booking, minimum numbers and the days the boats stay in
- Sea Bass cruises: book online from one person, or walk up if there are seats; the operator recommends booking. A sailing can be cancelled when bookings stay at 15 people or fewer, and you are told in order of booking. Pay at the pier by card, iD or a transport IC card. You may bring your own food and drink; nothing is sold on board. Deck seats are open to the rain.
- Marine Rouge: restaurant seats open for booking 3 months ahead, private rooms 6 months. A sailing with 8 or fewer guests is cancelled, with a call 3 days before. Changes are free until 3 days before; the fee starts 2 days before. Cakes (from ¥3,900) and bouquets (from ¥3,300) are phone orders by the morning 3 days ahead. Groups of 15 or more pay 10% less to board.
- When nothing sails: Marine Rouge is out of service 3 to 4 days a month and for a long dock inspection every January, with the dates posted on the operator's status page; the Sea Bass runs fewer boats during its own dock period. Both run in rain. A typhoon changes the Marine Rouge route or keeps the ship at the pier with the restaurant open.
- Luggage on the Sea Bass: two pieces each. A third piece, or one over 1.2 m in total or 10 kg, pays a child fare.
The Royal Wing is gone
Searches for a Yokohama dinner cruise still turn up the Royal Wing, the white restaurant ship that sailed from Osanbashi. Its own website now says the company handed its business to Y Cruise on 1 April 2025 and is being dissolved, and that whether the name returns is undecided. Y Cruise is the operator of everything on this page, so if you had the Royal Wing in mind, Marine Rouge is what has replaced it. Marine Rouge has five dining rooms and two open decks, and the decks close in strong wind or rain.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a dress code on Marine Rouge?
No formal one, but shorts and sandals are not allowed on board. The operator notes that on dinner cruises most men wear a jacket and most women dress casually.
Can I pay by card on the ship?
At the Pier Akarenga counter, yes: Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, JCB, American Express, Diners and Discover, single payment only. On board, for drinks and souvenirs, only Visa and Mastercard are taken.
What happens to the Night Flowers cruise if the fireworks are cancelled?
If rain or wind stops the fireworks but the boat can still sail, it runs as a Minatomirai night cruise. The fare is not refunded; instead you get a ticket for a future night cruise.
Can I ask for a window seat on Marine Rouge?
No. The operator does not take window-seat requests and does not guarantee them.
