Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum Tickets: Entrance Fee, Mini Ramen Prices, Hours and Access (2026)

Updated 2026-10-11

Short answer: the Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum (新横浜ラーメン博物館, "Ra-Haku") costs ¥450 per adult and ¥100 for elementary, junior high and high school students (high school students show a student ID). Children under school age go in free. It is open 11:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:30–21:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, with last orders 30 minutes before closing, and it closes only on 31 December and 1 January. You don't need to book: buy the ticket at the gate. Ramen is paid for separately at each shop. All eight regular shops sell a mini bowl for ¥750 (about 3/5 of a normal bowl), so one adult pays ¥1,950 for entry and two minis. The museum is 1 minute on foot from exit 10 of the subway's Shin-Yokohama Station and 5 minutes from JR Shin-Yokohama Station. Prices from the official museum pages and shop menus, checked 2026-10-11.

Ramen prices: mini or regular?

Ramen is not included in the ticket. Each shop has its own ticket machine and its own menu. The museum asks everyone from junior high school age to order at least one bowl, and you can't share one bowl between adults. To try more than one shop, order mini bowls. The museum says a mini is about 3/5 of a regular bowl, and every regular shop sells one.

Shop From Style Cheapest regular Mini
Ryu Shanghai Honten (龍上海本店) Yamagata spicy miso (karamiso), also soy ¥950 ¥750
Rishiri Ramen Miraku (利尻らーめん味楽) Rishiri Island, Hokkaido grilled soy sauce with Rishiri kombu ¥1,200 ¥750

Prices are the cheapest bowl on each shop's menu (PDFs dated July–September 2026 on the museum website). Bowls with egg or extra chashu cost more: Ryu Shanghai's karamiso mini is ¥780, Rishiri Miraku's spicy mini ¥820 and Komurasaki's King Ramen with egg mini ¥900. The museum also runs short "guest" shops (for example the Ra-Haku Limited series) with their own prices.

Paying

So the easiest way to pay for everything is a Suica or PASMO card, or cash.

Opening hours and closing days

When to go: the museum says lunchtime is the busiest. It suggests 14:00 until closing on weekdays and about 16:00–19:00 on weekends and holidays as easier times. In Golden Week (early May) and Obon (mid-August) it may limit entry. Plan 1.5–2 hours on a weekday and 2–3 hours on a weekend, says the museum. The website shows live queue times for each shop.

Times are from the museum's access page. The subway fare is from Yokohama City's official fare table (7.0 km). Children aged 6–11 pay half, and children under 6 ride free with an adult (up to two per adult). We don't show fares that we could not check on an official page: look them up in a route app.

From the station: use exit 10 of the subway / Tokyu / Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Station. Turn left at the first traffic light, then right after the FamilyMart. The museum is the fourth building on the left, 1 minute on foot. From the JR station (Shinkansen and Yokohama Line) take the underground passage to the subway and use the same exit, about 5 minutes.

By car: the museum car park (175 spaces, 2nd floor to the roof) gives 30 minutes free when you use the museum. Pay the parking in cash. There is no coach parking.

Putting it in a Yokohama day

Shin-Yokohama is about 11 minutes north of Yokohama Station, away from the harbour. A simple plan is the Ramen Museum at an off-peak hour (around 14:00 on a weekday), then the Blue Line to Yokohama Station and the harbour in the evening. Our Yokohama day trip itinerary has the harbour part, and the Yokohama day trip cost calculator tells you if a 1-day pass is worth it. The Blue Line is Yokohama's city subway, so the Minatomirai, JR and Tokyu 1-day passes in that calculator don't cover it: pay this ride with your IC card.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum entrance fee?

¥450 for adults and ¥100 for elementary, junior high and high school students (high school students show a student ID). Children under school age go in free. Ramen is paid for separately at each shop (official prices, checked 2026-10-11).

Do you need tickets in advance for the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum?

No. Buy the entry ticket at the 1st floor counter when you arrive. The shops don't take seat reservations. Only the ramen making class must be booked, by 19:00 the day before.

How much does a bowl of ramen cost at the Ramen Museum?

Regular bowls start at ¥900–¥1,500 depending on the shop. Every regular shop also sells a mini bowl for ¥750, about 3/5 of a regular bowl. So one adult pays ¥1,950 for entry and two minis.

Can two people share one bowl at the Ramen Museum?

No. The museum asks everyone from junior high school age to order at least one bowl. Order minis if you want to try several shops. You also can't take a bowl from one shop into another shop.

What are the Ramen Museum opening hours?

11:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:30–21:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, with last orders 30 minutes before closing. It is closed on 31 December and 1 January.

Does the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum have vegetarian ramen?

Yes. Komurasaki sells a vegan King Ramen made only with vegetables (¥1,100) and Ryu Shanghai sells a vegetarian ramen (¥1,050). They are not halal, and no shop serves gluten-free ramen as of October 2026.

Can I pay by credit card at the Ramen Museum?

Yes: Visa, Mastercard and JCB at the ticket counter, and also American Express and Diners Club in the ramen shops. You can't tap a credit card in the ramen shops, and Apple Pay is not accepted there. Suica and PASMO work everywhere except the car park, the vending machines and the fortune teller.
