Yokohama Air Cabin Tickets: Price, Hours, Route and the Ferris Wheel Set Ticket (2026)
Short answer: the Yokohama Air Cabin (the ropeway over the water between Sakuragicho and the Red Brick Warehouse side of Minato Mirai) costs ¥1,000 one way and ¥1,800 round trip for adults (12 and over), and ¥500 / ¥900 for children aged 3 to 11. Under 3 ride free. If you also want the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, the set ticket is ¥1,700 with a one-way ride or ¥2,500 with a round trip, ¥300 less than buying both. You don't need a reservation: buy at the station. In October 2026 it runs 10:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:00–22:00 on weekends and holidays, and it is closed on 14 October. Prices and hours from the official Air Cabin and Cosmo World sites, checked 2026-10-11.
Ticket prices
| Ticket | Adult (12 and over) | Child (3 to 11) | Compared with |
|---|---|---|---|
| One way | ¥1,000 | ¥500 | – |
| Round trip | ¥1,800 | ¥900 | two one-way tickets: ¥2,000 / ¥1,000 |
| One way + Cosmo Clock 21 (set) | ¥1,700 | ¥1,300 | bought separately: ¥2,000 / ¥1,500 |
| Round trip + Cosmo Clock 21 (set) | ¥2,500 | ¥1,600 | bought separately: ¥2,800 / ¥1,900 |
- Under 3: free.
- Groups of 20 or more: 10% off. Disability discount: half price for the holder of a Japanese disability certificate and one adult carer. Discounts can't be combined.
- The official Japanese page splits the ages as "junior high school students and older" (adult) and "age 3 to elementary school" (child). The English page says 12 and over, and 3 to 11.
- The Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel on its own is ¥1,000 per ride, the same price for children and adults. One turn takes about 15 minutes. Four of its 60 gondolas are see-through, at the same price.
Which ticket should you buy?
- Just crossing to the Red Brick Warehouse side: a one-way ticket. Then walk on along the harbour, or take the Minatomirai Line from Bashamichi.
- Going back to Sakuragicho the same way: the round trip saves ¥200 per adult and ¥100 per child, but it is sold only until 30 minutes before closing.
- Also riding the Ferris wheel: the set ticket saves ¥300 per adult (¥200 or ¥300 per child). Buy it at the Air Cabin ticket counter (staffed window), not at Cosmo World: Cosmo World does not sell it. Same-day sets are sold until 20:00, and Cosmo World keeps its own opening days and hours, so check its calendar first.
What a family pays
| Plan | 2 adults + 2 children (3–11) |
|---|---|
| One way | ¥3,000 (2 × ¥1,000 + 2 × ¥500) |
| Round trip | ¥5,400 (2 × ¥1,800 + 2 × ¥900) |
| One way + Ferris wheel set | ¥6,000 (2 × ¥1,700 + 2 × ¥1,300), instead of ¥7,000 |
| Round trip + Ferris wheel set | ¥8,200 (2 × ¥2,500 + 2 × ¥1,600), instead of ¥9,400 |
Children aged 11 and under cannot ride alone. Every cabin needs at least one paying passenger aged 12 or over. On the Ferris wheel, children below elementary school age need a paying companion aged 16 or over.
Hours and closing days
| October 2026 | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Friday | 10:00–21:00 |
| Saturday, Sunday and the 12 October holiday | 10:00–22:00 |
| Wednesday 14 October | closed |
The operator publishes the hours as a monthly calendar on its news page, and today's hours on the front page. Hours can change without notice because of weather, and ticket sales can stop early when it is crowded. The front page also shows the current wait at each station (it is updated when the wait reaches 30 minutes or more). The Ferris wheel stops taking riders 15 minutes before Cosmo World closes.
Buying tickets online (optional)
You don't need to: there are no reservations, and tickets are sold at both stations. If you want to pay in advance, the operator lists these sites:
- KKday: one way, round trip, and the one way + Ferris wheel set. Sold until the day before your visit.
- Rakuten Travel Experiences: one way.
- at Yokohama: one way and round trip.
The operator says prices on other sites may be different from the station price, that it does not handle problems with tickets bought online (contact the site you bought from), and that its ticket counters do not change or refund them. Check that your date is not a closing day before you buy.

Paying at the station
Buy at the ticket machines or the staffed window at either station. QR-code payments such as PayPay are not accepted at the window or the machines. Go to the staffed window for the Ferris wheel set and for any discount. The window has a writing board for passengers who prefer to write, and staff can lend a tablet for contacting them during the ride.
The route and how to get there
The ropeway is about 630 m one way (1,260 m in total), up to about 40 m high, with 36 cabins for up to 8 people each. All cabins are barrier-free.
- Sakuragi-cho Station (Air Cabin): 1 minute from the East Exit of JR Sakuragicho Station, and 1 minute from exit North 1 of Sakuragicho Station on the Yokohama subway Blue Line.
- Unga Park Station (Air Cabin): 7 minutes from exit 4 (Bankokubashi Exit) of Bashamichi Station on the Minatomirai Line, and 2 minutes from the "Bankokubashi / World Porters-mae" stop of the Akai Kutsu bus.
- There is no parking for the Air Cabin. Use public car parks.
From the Unga Park side you are close to the Red Brick Warehouse and the Cup Noodles Museum (8 minutes from Bashamichi Station). See how the ropeway fits into a full day in our Yokohama day trip itinerary, and the museum's prices in the Cup Noodles Museum tickets guide.
From Tokyo: JR Sakuragicho Station is on the JR Negishi Line, one stop past Yokohama towards Kannai, so it is inside the area of JR East's Yokohama & Minatomirai Pass. Compare it with single tickets and the Tokyu and Minatomirai passes in the Yokohama day trip cost calculator. With children, see the Yokohama family train cost guide.
Rules on board
- Eating, drinking and smoking in the cabin are not allowed. No fire or dangerous items.
- Pets are not allowed (assistance dogs are).
- A wheelchair user or a person with a walking aid must ride with at least one paying passenger aged 12 or over.
- The operator asks people with a fear of heights, heart disease or blood pressure problems, people who have been drinking and people who feel unwell not to ride.
- Filming or taking photos for commercial use (for example monetized YouTube videos) is not allowed without permission.
